    Awesome place to walk just about any time of the year but do be aware biting insects June, July, August - bring deet. Particularly like walking here in the Fall and after snowfall. Small fee (honesty box most of the time) but worth it.

  • Review of "The Cove Country Inn & Spa" at Westport

    Over several decades, we've stopped many times at the Cove in Westport on our way from Kingston to Perth and beyond. The Inn sits at the bottom of a large hill and overlooks the Big Rideau Lake and a large pond. Nothing is nicer than lunch on the balcony on a warm summer day. The Inn is also close to the Rideau Trail which joins Kingston and Ottawa. After a sweaty day on the Trail, nothing is more refreshing than a cold, craft beer from the tap. It would be followed by a lovely dinner and a restful overnight stay.

  • Review of "The Cottage Coffee House" at Westport

    I will admit the breakfast sandwich there was very good and they had a nice selection on the menu. The coffee was very weak and watery. I find it weird that they put the milk/cream in for you. I asked for a little and it was drenched in milk. I found the staff fairly disengaged and they were very rude to another customer in the store who had her phone plugged in. Overall very unimpressed.
